The Intern will support the Life Science Group’s ongoing leadership in the field of ddPCR by aiding in the development of internal pipelines, data integration, and development of custom applications for the R&D team. As a valued member of this team you will contribute to developing software tools to accelerate our High Throughput Screening platforms and ease the burden of data management and analysis by exploring the mechanisms of data hand-offs from generation to storage and analysis. Additionally, you will collaborate with engineers, bioinformatics specialists, marketing professionals, and other stakeholders to deliver applications and products that enhance and support our customers' needs. What You Bring Education: Currently enrolled as a sophomore/junior university student pursuing a degree related to Computer Science with a strong understanding of basic molecular biology. Must have a 3.0 cumulative overall GPA or better (4.0 scale). Demonstrated understanding of PCR. Experience with qPCR and/or ddPCR is preferred but not required. Ability to work for a minimum of 10 consecutive weeks. Proficiency with Python, AWS, and GitHub. Strong ability to work in a fast paced team setting. Experience working with laboratory automation is a plus – Hamilton Star instruments specifically. Strong problem solving and statistical skillset (t-test, ANOVA, Pearson, Chi Squared tests) are required. Good organization and communication skills are required.
