About The Role

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Front-End Developer to join our team. This remote position requires someone who is not only technically proficient but also a creative thinker with an eye for detail. As a Front-End Developer at Interactive Strategies, you will work closely with designers, developers, and other team members to build responsive, user-friendly websites.

You will have the opportunity to contribute ideas and ensure the effective implementation of design concepts. We prioritize quality and believe in delivering the best possible user experience with every project.

Responsibilities

• Develop responsive, standards-compliant HTML & CSS.
• Work with vanilla JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks (React and/or Next.js).
• Ensure usability and accessibility across various device types and major web browsers.
• Implement best practices for accessibility, including WCAG 2 compliance.
• Utilize CSS preprocessors (SCCS, Sass, Less) and task runners like Gulp.
• Collaborate with designers using tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Suite to retrieve developer specifications and graphic assets.
• Maintain high design accuracy and consistency, with the ability to improvise when specific designs are not provided.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of responsive HTML & CSS.
• Proficiency in vanilla JavaScript and frameworks like React and/or Next.js.
• Solid understanding of usability across different browsers and devices.
• Experience with CSS preprocessors and task runners like Gulp.
• Familiarity with accessibility best practices and WCAG 2 compliance.
• Experience with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
• A keen eye for design accuracy and the ability to adapt to design changes.

Desired, But Not Required

• Design experience.
• Experience with Git for version control.
• Familiarity with package managers (Yarn, npm, Composer).
• Knowledge of build tools/task runners like Webpack and Vite.
• Experience with CMS platforms such as Drupal, WordPress, and/or Sitecore.
• Back-end or full-stack development experience (e.g., PHP/MySQL).
• Experience with data fetching and working with external APIs.
