About The Role
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with expertise in cloud-based systems and infrastructure to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and managing cloud services on AWS, automating infrastructure deployment, and implementing CI/CD pipelines. You will collaborate with backend and frontend engineers to ensure smooth integration of cloud services, optimize system performance, and implement robust monitoring and security measures to enable teams to develop, test, and deploy applications securely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS using services like EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, and RDS, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Manage containerized applications with Kubernetes, including setting up clusters, managing scaling and deployment strategies, and ensuring high availability.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline to automate builds, testing, and deployments.
- Automate cloud resource provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Datadog, or CloudWatch to ensure system health.
- Apply security best practices in cloud infrastructure, such as IAM policies, security groups, and VPC configurations, to ensure compliance and data protection.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize the development pipeline, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and implement new technologies.
- Automate operational processes and optimize cloud resource usage to enhance system performance and reduce costs.
- Document system architecture, processes, and configurations, and mentor junior DevOps engineers.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering, focusing on AWS and Kubernetes.
- Expertise in managing and deploying cloud infrastructure with AWS services like EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, and RDS.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration, cluster management, and microservices deployment.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or Datadog.
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and IAM management.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or SysOps).
- Experience with serverless technologies like AWS Lambda and Step Functions.
- Knowledge of other cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP.
- Familiarity with additional DevOps tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Experience with database management and performance optimization in a cloud environment.
