One of our companies is currently looking for a Cloud Database Support Engineer in United States.

As a Cloud Database Support Engineer, you will provide crucial support to enterprise customers by diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues related to databases. You will be responsible for troubleshooting database internals, SQL queries, and system-related configurations, ensuring the seamless operation of cloud databases. You will work closely with product development teams, sales engineers, and technical account managers to ensure quick resolutions for critical outages and help improve internal processes. This role demands technical expertise combined with a customer-focused approach to ensure customers' positive experiences.

Accountabilities:

Offer email and live technical support for complex customer issues, including bug diagnosis and resolving database-related outagesReproduce product issues, conduct quality assurance (QA), and submit bug reports or feature requests to the relevant engineering teamsCollaborate with development, sales, and technical account management teams to stay updated on customer issues and keep all teams alignedStreamline support and engineering processes, author internal documentation, and create run-books to improve team efficiency and effectivenessEnsure customer satisfaction by providing timely and effective support, consistently meeting service-level expectations

Requirements

5+ years of customer-facing technical support experience, particularly in complex database systemsExperience with MySQL or similar databases (e.g., MariaDB, Aurora), along with SQL query optimization skillsSolid understanding of sysadmin tasks, including Linux systems, system I/O checks, network throughput measurements, and log file analysisExperience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go for quick problem-solving and codebase navigationFamiliarity with distributed systems and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), with a focus on performance optimization and bottleneck removalStrong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
