Job Description

Danfoss is seeking a skilled and experienced Sr. Data Center Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This role will focus on designing, developing, and implementing thermal management solutions for data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop thermal management systems for data centers, including air-cooled and liquid-cooled systems.
  • Perform heat load calculations, fluid dynamics analysis, and component sizing.
  • Select and evaluate equipment, such as chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and fans.
  • Create detailed drawings and specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, controls, and project management.
  • Support project execution, including vendor selection, procurement, and installation oversight.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting.
  • Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in data center thermal management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data center thermal management design.
  • Proficiency in heat load calculations, fluid dynamics analysis, and component sizing.
  • Strong understanding of cooling technologies, including air-cooled and liquid-cooled systems.
  • Experience with data center power and cooling infrastructure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. The range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000.
