Job Description

One of our companies is currently looking for a Sr. Software Engineer - Reference Data in the United States.

This role centers around building and optimizing scalable data infrastructure for high-impact financial products. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Reference Data team, you will work cross-functionally to develop solutions that reconcile, curate, and align public and alternative investment data. You will contribute to the design and implementation of key platform capabilities that deliver accurate, actionable insights for investment portfolios. This role requires a strong background in data architecture, distributed systems, and a hands-on approach to solving complex engineering challenges.

Accountabilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to design and deploy scalable data solutions for internal and client-facing applications
• Build reliable, high-performance services using Python, PySpark, and Java within a cloud-native infrastructure
• Implement and evolve platform architecture to support growing business needs and scalability goals
• Contribute to strategic technology and business decisions with a focus on performance, maintainability, and data integrity
• Drive best practices in software engineering while mentoring team members and championing code quality
• Collaborate with product stakeholders to ensure data platform capabilities align with user needs and company objectives

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, including large-scale distributed systems
• Proficiency in Python or Java, with experience in microservices architecture
• Strong knowledge of databases (SQL, NoSQL), data lakes, and OLAP systems
• Demonstrated ability to own complex technical projects involving multiple teams
• Comfortable with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and containerized environments (Kubernetes)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a growth mindset and interest in big data systems
