Job Description

As Product Manager, you will guide the product development life cycle from cradle to grave by identifying potential products conducting market research, generating product requirements, determining specifications, product development timetables, and facilitate plans and efforts for product introduction. This extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company to improving or developing processes for onboarding new technologies. You will build products from existing ideas and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and industry experts.

Responsibilities

  • Product Roadmap Development: Develop and execute a product roadmap that is aligned with market trends, customer needs and company goals.
  • Lifecycle management: Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and other key stakeholders
  • Data Analytics: Analyze market performance data of current product portfolio and provide strategic recommendations to leadership stakeholders.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Using project management skills to drive the development and execution of a product solution across all cross-functional teams from market requirements through launch.
  • Customer & Sales Support: Provide ongoing support to sales, marketing, and customers on product specifications through training and presentations.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred

Experience

  • 5+ years of product management experience.
  • Knowledgeable in lighting and/or building controls highly valued.
