The Data Platform team builds the foundation that powers everything from Stitch Fix’s signature personalization to our most cutting-edge AI innovations. We exist to make our data scientists and engineers wildly productive - by delivering fast, flexible, and trusted infrastructure that fuels experimentation, recommendations, insights, and now, a whole new generation of AI/ML-powered experiences.
About The Role
As a Data Platform Engineer, you’ll evolve Stitch Fix’s modern data stack to support the next wave of AI/ML-powered products, analytics, and knowledge systems. This is a high-impact individual contributor role on the Data Platform team.
You’ll help make our data platform easier to scale, easier to find information in, and more reliable as we build AI into our workflows. You’ll work with teams across the company to make sure our systems can support smarter automation and deliver better insights.

You’re Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will…
- Evolve our core data stack (Spark, Trinо, Iceberg, Kafka, Flink) to meet the scale and latency demands of AI workloads
- Define and implement observability, lineage, and access standards for our data products and AI applications
- Support critical data pipelines while creating abstractions that simplify end-user interactions
- Unify workflows from data ingestion to model serving, ensuring a shared foundation for feature stores, ML observability, and semantic modeling
We’re Excited About You Because…
- You have 5-8 years of experience building cloud-scale data infrastructure or ML platforms
- You're hands-on with Spark, SQL, and Python and/or Scala with strong experience building scalable APIs and services
- You understand streaming systems such as Kafka or Flink and how to design for real-time insights
- You have experience with orchestration systems, CI/CD, and production monitoring
- You’re interested in defining data product standards, governance-by-design, and AI observability metrics
- You're detail-oriented, curious, and passionate about building infrastructure people love to use

Salary Range
$129,200—$190,000 USD
